Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (1 stick/113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound (450g) store-bought pizza dough (refrigerated, not frozen)
  • 8 ounces (225g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces (113g) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to prepare the garlic butter.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle. Brush generously with garlic butter. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  4. Cut dough into 2-inch strips using a pizza cutter. Stack 6-8 strips on top of each other, then cut them into 2-inch squares.
  5. Place the stacks of dough squares vertically in the prepared springform pan, filling it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (optional). Serve warm and enjoy!
