Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper, freshly ground preferred
  • 1-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the spices: paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Whisk thoroughly until all spices are evenly distributed. Make sure there are no clumps of individual spices.
  3. Transfer the blackened seasoning to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark, and dry place.
