Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then rub each with a small amount of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth and drizzly.
  3. Place fillets on the baking sheet and spoon the glaze mixture over the top of each fillet, spreading it to the edges. Bake for 12–15 minutes.
  4. Switch oven to broil for the final 2 minutes until the glaze bubbles and forms a deep mahogany-colored crust. Remove once the fish flakes easily with a fork.
