Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) 100% Fruit Juice (apple, grape, or your kid's favourite!)
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) Gelatin Powder (unflavored)
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) Honey (or maple syrup for a vegan alternative)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon Citric Acid (for extra tang)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the fruit juice and gelatin powder. Let stand for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Pour the bloomed gelatin mixture into the saucepan. Add the honey (or maple syrup) and citric acid (if using).
  3. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly with a whisk, until the gelatin and honey are completely dissolved. Do not boil!
  4. Once dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat. Skim off any foam that may have formed on the surface.
  5. Carefully transfer the mixture into the gummy bear molds using an eye dropper or small squeeze bottle.
  6. Place the filled molds in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once the gummy bears are firm, gently pop them out of the molds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
