Ingredients:
- 60 ml vodka
- 90 ml 100% pure pineapple juice
- 30 ml cranberry juice cocktail
- 1 cup ice
- 1 lime wheel
Instructions:
- Chill the glass. Place your highball glass in the freezer for 5 minutes. Note: This prevents the ice from melting too quickly upon contact.
- Add ice. Fill the chilled glass with 1 cup of fresh ice. Watch for the frost to form on the glass.
- Measure the spirit. Pour 60 ml of vodka directly over the ice.
- Add pineapple juice. Carefully pour 90 ml of 100% pure pineapple juice into the glass.
- Incorporate cranberry. Add 30 ml of cranberry juice cocktail. Observe the red juice swirling through the yellow base.
- Stir gently. Use a long spoon to give one or two slow turns. Note: Over stirring ruins the sunset aesthetic.
- Prep the garnish. Slice a fresh lime wheel about 3mm thick.
- Finish the drink. Place the lime wheel on the rim or float it on top.
- Serve immediately. Drink while the ice is still solid and the juices are crisp.
