Ingredients:
- ½ cup (40g) rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- ½ medium (60g) ripe banana, mashed
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup (or honey)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: chopped walnuts, pecans, sliced banana, chocolate chips
Instructions:
- In a mason jar or container, add rolled oats, milk, mashed banana, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir all ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Ensure the banana is well distributed.
- Seal the jar or container and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Before serving, stir the oats. If they seem too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Add your favorite toppings, such as chopped nuts, sliced banana, or chocolate chips. Dig in!
