Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, softened (for spreading)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- In the prepared loaf pan, pour half of the batter, then spread the softened butter on top and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Pour the remaining batter on top, spreading it evenly.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the batter and filling together to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
