Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 can clams, drained (or 1 cup fresh clams, cooked and chopped)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup white wine (optional)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Add warm water and olive oil; combine until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add clams (and white wine if using), oregano, and red pepper flakes; cook until heated through. Stir in ricotta cheese; season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) with the pizza stone inside. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread the clam filling evenly over the dough, top with mozzarella cheese.
- Slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone (or place the baking sheet in the oven). Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and enjoy!
