Ingredients:

  • 2 Large Granny Smith or Honeycrisp Apples, chilled
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cups Cold water
  • 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Honey-oat granola
  • 1 tsp Chia seeds
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Slice horizontally into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Use an apple corer or small round mold to remove the center seeds from each slice, creating a donut shape.
  2. Mix lemon juice and cold water. Dip the apple rings into the acidulated water for 30 seconds to prevent browning. Remove and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  3. Using an offset spatula or butter knife, spread a generous, even layer of creamy peanut butter onto the top surface of each dried apple ring.
  4. Press the honey-oat granola firmly into the peanut butter layer while it is still tacky. Sprinkle with chia seeds and a light dusting of cinnamon.
