Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets, approx 1.2 lbs (545g)
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Instructions:
- Use paper towels to pat the salmon fillets completely dry to ensure a better crust.
- Rub each fillet with avocado oil, then sprinkle evenly with kosher salt and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger until the sugar is dissolved into a smooth syrup.
- Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, leaving at least one inch of space between them for air circulation.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes to set the protein.
- Open the basket and generously brush the top of each fillet with the prepared glaze.
- Return to the air fryer and cook for an additional 3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and deep mahogany brown.
- Remove the fillets and let them rest for 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
