Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, approx 1.2 lbs (545g)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Use paper towels to pat the salmon fillets completely dry to ensure a better crust.
  2. Rub each fillet with avocado oil, then sprinkle evenly with kosher salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger until the sugar is dissolved into a smooth syrup.
  4. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, leaving at least one inch of space between them for air circulation.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes to set the protein.
  6. Open the basket and generously brush the top of each fillet with the prepared glaze.
  7. Return to the air fryer and cook for an additional 3 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and deep mahogany brown.
  8. Remove the fillets and let them rest for 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute before serving.
